Oceania Insignia, Oceania Nautica, & Oceania Regatta

A small cruise-ship atmosphere and outstanding cuisine set  Oceania Cruises flagship, the Oceania Regatta, along with her fleet mates the Oceania Insignia and Oceania Nautica apart from the rest of the cruise lines in the premium cruise category.

Oceania Regatta, Nautica, and Insignia Staterooms:

The Oceania Regatta , Nautica, and Insignia carry only 684 passengers.  All staterooms and suites carry the amenities you expect from a cruise ship.

  • Inside staterooms: 160sq.ft.
  • Ocean view staterooms: 143-165 sq .ft.
  • Verandah staterooms: 216 sq .ft. (with verandah).
  • Concierge-level veranda staterooms: 216 sq .ft. (with verandah).  The concierge level staterooms include additional amenities such as a bottle of champagne to welcome you, a refrigerated mini-bar with complimentary soft drinks and water, DVD player with access to the DVD library, lap blankets, and a shoulder bag.  Additional privileges include priority boarding with a dedicated desk, luggage delivery, restaurant reservations, shoeshine service, and garment pressing (embarkation only.
  • Penthouse suites: 322 sq .ft. (with verandah).  All the concierge amenities plus Butler service (see below), upgraded linens and bathroom amenities.
  • Vista Suite: 786 sq .ft. with a larger TV and Hermès and Clarins amenities.
  • Owner’s Suite: 1,000 sq .ft.

Butler services on the Oceania Nautica, Regatta, and Insignia include: In-suite, by the course dining, shore side dinner/vent coordination, Priority shore excursion reservations, packing/unpacking service (by request), evening canapés, and other assistance.

Oceania Nautica, Regatta, and Insignia Dining:

Oceania Cruises continues to focus on your dining pleasure.  Jacques Pepin has taken the helm as the culinary director for Oceania Cruises.  You can visit "Jacques", the only restaurant to bear his name, on the Oceania Marina.   It is Oceania Cruises goal to provide not only the best food available on a cruise ship, but food to rival the best international restaurants.

  • Grand Dining Room: Inspired by the French, with a wide variety of continental cuisine.
  • Toscana: As the name suggests, Tuscana serves traditional family Tuscan fare paired with the perfect wine.
  • Polo Grill: A classic steakhouse.
  • Waves: Located near the pool, this classic grill with an open galley is perfect for a quick meal, gelato, ice cream, or milkshake.
  • Room Service: Enjoy a large menu for you in-suite dining pleasure.  Suites with butler service can enjoy an entire meal course by course.

Oceania Regatta, Nautica, and Insignia Entertainment :

There are multiple venues for entertainment:

  • Multiple Bars and Lounges
    • Martinis: Different takes on the famous cocktail in a "gentleman’s club" atmosphere.  Martini tastings.
    • Grand Bar: Rare vintages or your favorites in a relaxing atmosphere.
    • Ships Lounge:  The place for nightly entertainment.  Comedians, jazz groups, and magicians perform for your enjoyment.
    • Horizons:   Your favorite drinks in a relaxing atmosphere with wide views.  Afternoon tea service daily.  Nightly dancing. 
    • Polo Bar: Premium whiskies and Scotches at the Polo Grill.

Oceania Nautica, Regatta, and Insignia Activities :

  • Canyon Ranch Spa: Like Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Oceania Cruise spa experience is powered by Canyon Ranch.  A full range of spa treatments are available.
  • Salon: A full service saloon is available at the Canyon Ranch Spa.
  • Exercise/Wellness Center:  Also part of the Canyon Ranch spa is the ships Fitness Center, where a wide range of equipment and programs are available.

The Oceania Insignia will be leaving the Oceania Cruise Line fleet in the first quarter of 2012.  Hapag-Loyd based in Germany has chartered the cruise ship for two years.
