Upper-premium Oceania Cruises has announced a change in Oceania Riviera’s maiden voyage, originally scheduled for April 14, 2012. The new maiden cruise will be the 12-night April 24th sailing from Athens to Istanbul. Oceania wants the additional time for crew to become familiar with the ship and with the details centered on how the cruise line operates.
Passengers currently booked on the original sailing have been given several options:
- Passengers may elect to be moved to the new maiden sailing at no additional cost. A $250 shipboard credit will be given.
- Passengers may choose a different cruise, and receive a $250 future cruise credit.
- Passengers nay cancel for a full refund.
ChicLuxuryCruises believes in the Oceania Cruises brand. They are not a cruise line to do things haphazardly.
